I have utmost sympathy for the climbers and even more for the families, but I have to agree that no one forced those guys to attempt such a thing, and if they wanted to "see" the top of the mountain, it would have been much less expensive to just hire a helicopter and fly over the top.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
