Since the engine ran when the outside temperature was warm and won't run now that it's cold, then it sounds like a temperature sensor (or the wiring to it) is bad. If you have a sensor on the engine that isn't plugged in and it wasn't plugged in when the temperature was warm, but the engine ran, then that sensor probably isn't the problem. The van's computer won't be looking for a sensor that wasn't there in the first place. The only thing that I can think of at this time is to get wiring diagrams of both the current vehicle and the vehicle that the engine came out of and compare the engine compartment wiring - wire by wire. That's the only way that I know to be certain the van's computer is reading all of the sensors it needs. However, this sounds like a temperature sensor has failed. I'd start there. I'd also put a good scan tool on it. Good luck, you've got a real troubleshooting project ahead of ya! OK-AL
