The 966 was built with a 414 cubic inch naturally aspirated engine. Many 9's were fitted with aftermarket chargers. The 1086 was built with a 414 cu in turbocharged engine. Never heard of anyone taking a charger off a 10. Either tractor could have had a different crank and pistons installed in the original block to build them up to either 436 or 466 cubic inches by now. The 9 was built with a smaller clutch and different flywheel than the 10. Used to be that the 10's flywheel was available in the aftermarket but the 9's was not so some were converted when the button clutch discs finished off the flywheels.
