Nearly all of the pontiacs and some of the chevrolets have a history of plenum gasket leaking. It can be serious and needs fixing right of way. My shop told me of several customers who had engine lock ups from the antifreeze getting in. My mothers Bonneville had to have it aT 49000 MI and mine went out at 55000 and my friends bonne went out at 51000. A new plenum is needed along with the gasket because a change was made to the plenum to correct the problem. My dealer keeps several on hand in parts department because they deal with it almost on a weekly basis. Seems like it cost me about $450 for labor and parts.
