Yes, some French people take advantage of others, just like Americans. Without French assistance, we probably would have lost the Revolutionary war. The French gave us the Statue of Liberty because they respected us as a beacon of freedom. They sold us the Louisiana territory for much less than it was worth; had they kept it, our nations growth would have stopped short. Our Anglo-Saxon heritage can be traced back to France via Great Britain. The French did not want to get involved in Iraq, which seems to have been a very sound decision. The French did some of the preliminary excavation for the Panama Canal before they gave up, saving us money and time. Every nation has rude citizens who take advantage of others and the U.S. is one of them. Lets stick to tractors. I understand the caution about a scam; I have similar concerns because of some of his English. Time will tell, but be civil.
