An override clutch does not give you live power, it will keep you from twisting off a shaft inside your transmision or taking the teeth off a gear. When you push in the clutch the speed of the turning blade will push the tractor untill you knock it out of gear or jam on the brakes which you really don't want to do. If you don't have the trick of opperating a older tractor on power takeoff equipment down pat, it will be cheeper to buy the overrun clutch. I lost a transmision trying to teach my grandson.
