Try aspirin. My Dad used to take eight aspirin a day for his arthritic aches and pains. I mean take it as a preventative measure. Don't wait for the pain to start. He lived to be within about a month of 96. Just don't tell your doctor. My dad made that mistake one time and his doctor told him to get off the aspirin and he prescribed a pain medication. The prescribed pain med caused my Dad's ankle to swell up and he couldn't walk for a while. He threw the meds out and went back to aspirin for 25 more years.
