Have you ever used electric fence? Nothing in your post makes any sense to me, and I string miles of electric fence around cornstalks every fall. Cows can't hear it, and you can run it on barbed wire with no problems. Just make sure everything is insulated, and don't be surprised when your dog starts keeping his tail down when going under fences. Plus, be warned at some time you're going to get bit. It just happens.
