We charge $65.00 in our shop and never have a lack of work. This is in a lawn mower shop in a city of 100,000. Most ag shop around here are in the $65-75.00 range. I would not charge less than $40.00 per hour, he not only has to pay you for your time, but you have tools, and knowledge that someone has to pay for, it is not free, and you did not get the knowledge for free, it cost you somewhere to learn it. Make sure he can pay the bill, I always am a little cautious about this kind fo thing unless it is someone you know and trust.
