The 4020 differential lock uses hydraulics in passages cast and drilled into the case. Those would be hard to add to the 4010 case even if it would accept the 4020 final parts which I doubt it would. I do have the earlly 4020 parts book but it doesn't cover the 4010 part. The early 4020 shop manual does cover the 4010 so conceptually the two aren't far apart except in places, like the PTO and the hydraulic remote connectors. The differences in 4010 and early 4020 prices aren't often very much so it would seem to be worth looking for an early 4020 with differential lock. I find that differential lock handy when doing all kinds of field work and its NOT for sale. Gerald J.
