Don't know anything about Swisher, but when I was looking for a ZTR I decided certain things were the mark of a quality mower: A heavy made cutter deck of thick steel, welded up and not stamped out(except for John Deere which has a very thick stamped deck. A floorboard that is hinged and can be swung up for easy access to the belts. A comfortable seat. I was impressed with the seat on the Cub Cadet Tank and the one I bought, a Dixie Chopper. An industrial rated engine. If you get a ZTR, be advised that they make a lot of noise and you will need hearing protection. They throw dust and grass clippings out so I needed dust masks. Hope this helps. Maybe someone with experience on a Swisher will post.
