Opinions? Three hours is a short drive on the road of life. The Deere is probably cheap as Deere's go, unless it's beat. Be-lar-us isn't cheap for what it is. Decent loaders aren't that hard to find either is a fella wants to look around a bit. Guess it depends on how bad you want the 4WD. Keep in mind that electrical systems are ..... poor on those tractors. Cables usually need to be upgraded and the system redesigned somewhat to work properly. The engines are easy on fuel, and will lug. Beyond that, you're basically working with 1940's technology, and poor workmanship. Casting break, often at the bellhousing. Brakes are non-existent. Oil leaks everywhere.... and there's constantly some nagging little problem of some sort chasing you around. That's if you can tolerate their clumsy nature and controls enough to actually use it. We had a 520A for a number of years, and knocked it around in the woods. IT was good for stupid pulling like that, but not much else. I'd think the fella could afford to see 2 or 3 grand less if he really wants it clear of his yard. Been there, done that. Got the T-Shirt. Rod
