Shift to a lower gear or take a smaller bite. Don't continue to slip the clutch, that will guarantee the need to split the tractor and put in a new clutch plate. Also when engaging the clutch with a lot of load, reduce the engine speed, and speed up after the clutch as stopped slipping from the engagement. Make certain that there's free play on the clutch pedal and don't ride your foot on the pedal. Make certain there's no oil from engine or transmission getting to the clutch. Those will damage a new clutch plate and you then have seals and clutch to fix. Gerald J.
