are you just trying to get people going or what?. Like someone else said. There is a cover over that clutch and they are water tight unless there is a hole broken in it somewheres, but this would be real easy for you to spot. Plus, even if you buy a shaft drive, you are still going to have a clutch just the same, and shaft drives are not bullet proof either, and can be twisted off if you beat it hard enough. Like someone else said, put down some poison and get rid of the problem, not trade machines just for that reason since the mice are quite apt to find something to either chew on or make a nest in on your brand new machine and whatever else you have in your garage.
