the last place I lived I had a 26 by 40 garage, was thinking about taking the whole roof off to make a second floor then put the roof back on. I was going to put some beams under the rafts then hook a crane to it, lift that sucker off. crane rental was $500 a day...in theory needed crane to lift off one day, then later back on...2 days and $1,000 versus about I don't know what maybe a month of tearing it apart then putting it back together...just a thought
