Installing cylinder sleeves

I was going to buy some JD soap like the instructions called for. I found it about 30 miles away, and a cost of 18.00. Now I am going to use liquid soap like other's have done from past information on this sight. Is there any special brand of soap that isn't too hard on O rings. Thanks for any info. Stan
