I own a Ford 7700 (86HP, 1978 year) and a New Holland TM165 (135HP 2002 year) and my brother in law owns a Kubota M9000 (90 HP, 2005 year) all three are good tractors, all three have good and bad points, not many problems on the old 7700 in over 6000 hours, the TM135 took nearly 600 hours for the rings to seat and quit burning oil and again no problems, the Kubota has about 250 hours and no problems, the biggest complaint is it is its tight in the cab, for some reason the Japanese designed it for someone a lot smaller then me (I'm 6'4" 270 lbs). The 7700 is 2 wheel drive, other two are 4 wheel drive, all 3 have cabs and loaders. I had a Massey Ferguson 275 (68 HP 1978 year, 4000 hours when sold it) it was a good tractor but it did break down more then the old Ford, also had a weak front axle, broke it many times.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
