The patient: '92 Dodge Caravan, 3.3 v6, auto The symptoms: cold start is good; runs smooth. After a couple minutes, it starts getting rough, won't idle by itself. If kept between 2000 and 3000 rpm, it will stay running, but rough. Won't rev above approx. 3200 rpm. Exhaust gets red hot. To me, this would be either overfueling or retarded timing, but it's all controlled by the computer, so it's non-adjustable. We've replaced the cam sensor, the crank sensor, the spark plugs(twice), the fuel filter and checked the fuel pressure. The Check Engine light is showing a Code 27. According to my Haynes manual, this is: "Injector number x ('x' can be 1, 2, 3 or 4. This doesn't make sense to me, as it's a v6 enging?) output driver doesn't respond properly to the control signal(turbo and multipoint systems)" Can someone explain this code in layman's terms for me? Opinions and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for your time, Anthony
