Sounds like your trying to get more HP out of your 560. The 560 (ending with the 686) was the top end in HP for that tractor frame. The 706 was the bottom end in HP for that tractor frame. Since this was the cross over in terms of HP they generally used the same engine that was turned down for the 560 and up for the 706. The 686 (D312) i had at one time turned at around 1800 and puts out over 70 pto hp vs its rated 67 hp (about where it should be). My guess is that the RPM are about where they should be to produce the 60+ rated PTO HP. If you adjust your 560's engine to the 706's spec for the same engine you'll get the same HP as the 706. Pto will turn a little faster. The trans is the issue as this tractor wasn't designed to handle the higher HP and very early 560 had trouble with their rated HP. I believe their was a recall on the first 560 to beef up the rear end.
