Ron, I rebuilt 2 hundred series engines last summer, one 600 and one 800. These are basicly the same engines. My machinest who did my boring and head work found cracks in both. On the 800, the crack ran from one freeze plug to another and had buldged the side of the block. He "stiched" the block. This involves drilling a hole in the crack, inserting a plug, drilling another hole in the plug and crack and inserting another plug, etc. The longest crack was about 8" long and he charged me for an hour's labor to stitch it. Neither block has leaked and after painting, the stitch was not noticeable. Might try this. Moye
