Bob is correct, there is no issue with the original 6v starters running on 12v. They may last longer due to the fact that they start the tractor more rapidly and often are used less. Many late Farmalls had 12v systems so the most stock parts can be IH. They are for sure Pos ground. If you go Neg ground, a different Neg ground reg is needed. but the gen can be repolarized to Neg ground. Bulbs must be changed in the lights. One other item is the light switch. If it was an early H with a three brush generator, the light switch had 4 positions LHDB These were for the charging system, Make sur that the field wire is not connected to the light switch if using a regulator.
