The hitch and components will lift 6 to 7 thousand pounds at the point of the standard drawbar insert into the hitch. (it will bend the drawbar into a "U" shape easily) We pulled a 60 foot deep driven well with our 350U. directly out of the ground. We pulled so hard that the tires on the rear were smashed down to 1/2 their normal height. (don't do this, it was probably very unsafe) I would say it would be fine to put 800 pounds on it without grief at all. It is much more powerful than this, and stronger. Doing this will also take stress off of the steering system. Keep your wt. close to the back axle, do not let it stick out much it will hit things when turning and backing. Go for it. JimN
