Just had what sounds like an old-fashioned shootout, with two shot dead and two others reportedly banged up (but not shot) up in NE part of state (OR) (lots of eastern OR cattle country). No one"s talking very much, incl the sheriff. Article reported rumors of rustling, although sheriff supposedly said rustling wasn"t involved in this case; article said two went to retrieve cows from other two. Curious item: two shot, one on each side, reportedly shot with same rifle; must"ve struggled over rifle.
