I have a 16 yr old step son who only thinks of himself. His mom thinks it"s OK to play video games from sun up to sun down. He does OK in school but at home he does nothing. His dad bought him a laptop for Christmass and I think he is the only one in his school with a laptop. Me and the wife went to Dallas Stock show this past week and he did little as possible as far as feeding all our horses, mule, cows as in no water where the neighbor had to water them so I took his laptop away and his mom had a fit. She took it harder then the stepson saying he needs his laptop for school and I said not any more he doesn"t and I"m sticking to it. Of course the kid played his mom saying that his home work is on the laptop which might be true and his mom fell for it, so I guess he is going to do it the old fashion way with pen and paper! I got married for the first time three years ago with no kids and I"m 46 and it"s her first time also. I"ve always dated older woman because the kids where out of the house and the women I"ve dated with kids were bad moms letting there kids smoke, talking back, bad grads, being suspended from school and who knows what else and these woman thought that was OK. Some times I wish I had my freedom back. I did lots of adventures in my life that most men would only dream, but then I got married and I still love my wife and it is hard but when my step son is away we get along good and I plan on staying with my wife waiting till he turns 18 (1 1/2 years) and then he is gone!!! and I tell my wife if she don"t like it she can go too!!!! and I"m sticking to it!!! She doesn"t like that to much but I think it"s the best for the kid. I set the rules and stick to it (some what) and the mom is to fore giving which is harmful to the kid. Thanks for reading this but I had to vent this out and it help!!!!!!!!!!
