Hey old, glad your feeling better. Well sort of. I can't believe some of the comments on here. I used to live in an older mobile home and you're right. The insurance is rediculous. You could have a brand new mansion with an attached garage and pay about a third what it would cost for a mobile. Try to get someone to fix the furnace. Most won't even come to look at it. An act of nature damaged your roof and you are looking into programs that can help you to get it fixed. That's why they have these programs. How fast they act to help is another story. Did I get this right? You can be assured that if any of these people getting on your case had their house damaged by something beyond their control they'd be looking for help as well. As far as getting handouts, these people should be more informed. You are a vet and fought for your country. That should mean something. All the refugees that come are given money and other help to get them established. I knew a guy that spent about 10 years in jail. When he got out he got $10,000 from the gov't so he could get re-established. His dad was a millionaire! All you want is a little help to get your roof fixed. It certainly doesn't deserve all the flack you're getting. Hopefully it won't take too long to get all the red tape sorted out. Good Luck! If only the roof was steel... You could weld it solid and never have to worry about it. Hang in there! Dave
