I recall seeing that Lancaster sitting on a pylon along the side the Goderich Airport. Good news indeed that the volunters rescued and restored her before she rotted away. Those Lancasters carried a heavier load, higher and farther than most other WWII Bombers. I'm looking at a home assembled/built Ultra light 1200lb two seater and getting the private ticket. Some guys around here fly those ultra light kites .I asked a fellow how far to lead one with a 300 Winchester.........He didn't find it as funny as the rest of us.
