MONTE CARLO TRANSMISSION PROBLEM

LAST WEEK I POSTED ABOUT MY WIFE'S MONTE CARLO TRANSMISSION.I THOUGHT IT WAS JERKING WHEN TRYING TO TO DOWNSHIFT OUT OF CONVERTER LOCK UP,BUT I FOUND IT IS SLIPPING IN CONVERTER LOCK UP, AND NOT ACTUALLY TRYING TO SHIFT.WE DROVE WITH A SCAN TOOL ON TO FIND THIS OUT, AND ALSO I CAN SEE IT BY WATCHING THE TACH.CAN IT BE A SOLENOID PROBLEM,OR DOES IT NEED A CONVERTER?AND ,THEREFORE A TRANS REBUILD?THANKS FOR ANY HELP.
