13 yrs old working as an irrigator on a row crop farm for the summer. One morning before we started out the boss said "You know how to run my 4020 don't you?" I sure as heck wasn't gonna say No!! Got to spend that day and many more pulling a disc and cultipacker. Same guy put me in the cab of his JD 95 combine and after one round said "Got it?" There was no bigger smile or head on the planet those days. He was killed in a tractor accident 10 years later but he changed my life and taught me how to work. Grub

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
