Does the temp have anything to do with it ( grease inside draging numbers farther than needed)? I has mine gone through at Strauss Lock in Des Moines to fined the combination and mine needs to be "Packed" 5 turns to the left then turned past the right number 5 times, left past the next number 4 times, right to the number 3 times, left past the next number 2 times, and right to the last number and it will open. Hope this helps.
