Just went through one in our business last month. GD PIA but we got off with a satisfactory rating and no fines. Got lucky when the lady auditor allowed us to impliment a random drug testing policy AFTER the audit (otherwise a $2000 fine) - had to send her proof of our enrollment. We only have one driver and he was drug tested 2X a year - not good enough for the DOT. According to the auditor what we were doing was the same as not having a drug testing program. We had to have RANDOM testing, so we had to join a group which will scientifically select random drivers for drug testing. Now instead of 2X a year he might ge tested one every three years or so. Does that make anyone safer?
