Yep, theres alot of folks that have cleaned their drives with nothing but a rear blade for years. I'd suggest buying a lighter blade though, because I have a heavy duty one, and the heavy duty blades work alot better for moving dirt and jobs that require more weight to make the blade cut in, but for pushing snow, you need to be super careful not to rip up your driveway with it, especially when it first snows and the ground isn't frozen yet. The lighter blades will float on top of the ground alot easier, so they are much more suited for snow removal.
