Storage Problems and Options

I have a cold weather storage problem. I like the idea of keeping the tractors in a big closed metal barn as opposed to sitting in the hallway of the old wooden barn where they collect dust and an occasional errant cow can defile the finish. But there is one problem with the metal barn----on a cold morning, the sun warms the brown metal siding so quickly it causes the tractors to sweat and drip water from all surfaces. Would it be better to store them outside? Do you use a cloth or canvas cover? What is considered the best method of storage?
