myrl...i knew the starter was s'pose to be in the gearshift lever but had never seen one that wasn't bypassed til yesterday. i like that little lever for the hood latch under the dash...i have never seen one of those that was still there, so i got to study it and open the hood and see how it actually hooked up and latched the hood. that's part of the reason i go to auctions. i very sledom ever actually buy anything, i just like to walk around looking at old tractors and implements and study them to see what they have and how they work. it's kind of like reading thru this forum...it's always an education into old tractors and equipment. also, like yesterday, as i was studying that old fergie, a couple other guys were there looking at it too and we got into some pretty good discussions about tractors and stuff. it's fun! -mike
