Yes ---it certianly will work without any doubt ---if-----he uses it as a counter weight in a loader bucket of a big tractor--not as a pulling power unit. The first thing is he will have to torch the drawbar to fit a 2 5/16 ball hitch. With no question or doubt. NO way is it even close to doing the job, we bent the drawbar on a IH 1486 with a 12 x 70. We have moved one once a few miles with a AC XT 190. That drawbar had to be torched to take on a 2 5/16 ball. We have moved alot over the years with Ag tractors and put a red face on the tractor owner who thought he was hooking on to a play toy. As I think back we did one time us a A JD with a power block and 5 rear weights on each rear tire. It did the job but we had removed all the side walls and roof. Just the floor remained, we did have a very long steep hill to pull on the gravel road, and it was enough to make me break into a sweat at the mid point. Those axles are along way back from the hitch. The front end bobbed up but I was able to pull it down with the breaks.
