I'm not real experienced with Dodge-Cummins diesel cruise setup. But, my cruise-control went bad in all my GM diesels and they all went slowly. #1 problem was the vacuum pumps. On some of the diesel trucks - the cruise is the only reason the vacuum pump is used. Since most diesels don't make their own vacuum - a pump of some sort is needed.
#2 problem I've had is the servo-pod diaphram going bad. In that case - it was much cheaper to get a few at the junkyard. They are usually not diesel-specific and the pods from many gas engine cars and trucks fit fine.
