carson...don't let all the scientific explaination confuse you. all you need is a plastic container, water, some washing soda, a battery charger, and a piece of scrap steel. stick whatever you're cleaning in the solution and clip the positive or red side of the battery charger to it, then put the piece of scrap in the solution and clip the negative or black side on to it. make sure they aren't touching, turn on the charger and wait til all your rust is loosened up and then clean it off. like i said...i haven't done it yet but i'm gonna. and if a dummy like me can figure it out, anybody can! it sounds pretty simple to me. i'm sure one of these other guys on here will tell you exactly what to use and how to mix it...and if i've made any mistakes in these instructions i know they'll set it straight for you and keep it simple. you can spend a lot of money on sanding discs and wire wheels cleaning the rust off a whole tractor. i figure this has got to save a lot of money and work...so i'm gonna try it. -mike
