Consider it a lesson in modern economics. Was it crappy for the guy to do that? Probably, but they get enough people that call all hyped up and never hear from them again. Haven't you ever sold something and had somebody who was 100% sure they wanted it and never came back. Next time you want something bad enough act like it and get some money in their hand and a purchase agreement made up. I did that on a polaris quad. Dealer got two 6x6 polaris's from another dealer that went out of business. Saw the great deal advertises in the paper. Called on phone, did visa card payment over the phone. Quad was mine, end of story. No wait, paid off visa card. End of story.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
