What about basketball practice? Remember that cold weather? We would have practice at about 6pm after school. Mom would take us up there and we would practice until about 8 and she had to come up and pick up me and my brother. Sometimes (most of the time) the gym was cold and you had to run your guts out and then sometimes stand outside and wait for mom on days like today! I never really thought about it but she probably wasn't to crazy about going out in zero degree weather twice a night to take us there and pick us up. Back in the day before the cell phone was around to so you had better let her know the right time or you would be locked outside waiting with all the other kids that told their mom the wrong time. I was never so glad to sometimes see that old 66 chevy pickup drive up to get us. Those were the good old days.
