If this was truly a "rare tractor" you should have realized that perhaps someone else would be interested in it as well. I've found in my business, nothing makes something more interesting to customers, then when it is marked "Sold"! Everybody talks about it, until it sells, and then everyone wants it. As far as tractor salesman go...don't put your faith in what they tell you. I was dealing on a tractor / loader, and the saleman gave me a price that HE wrote on the back of his business card. I went back two days later with my check book to buy the tractor...and the price was a few hundred dollars higher. I showed him his card with the price HE quoted, and he told me; "Anyone could have written that on there".
