i switched my 89 gmc over to sythetic and had no problems it ran better everything seemed smoother and oil consuption is down than with regular oil, the only problem i had is that the synthetic cleaned out my engin and oil lines found 2 leaks that were a $20 fix but my truck is almost a collecter also yours should be fine
