First of all if you install a non oem (original copy of win-xp) on your computer, You are"nt eligible for upgrades or patches because you have to verify that it is genuine (check microsoft .com for more details) Windows-xp and Vista sets up hardware codes to make sure it is only for that computer (The Original one) and it has to be activated.. As far as Windows Vista, I just bought a new system with it installed (using as we speak) and no problems so far (So i"ll NEVER go back to XP as it had to many error messages and unfixable BUGS!!
