It is a little hard to make a decision on a rebuild for a block with a crack, I just wonder if the cracks in the block were causing the leak, or just the head leaking. I doubt the head was cracked from the head being dropped if it infact was. Dropping the head would leave some real bad dents on the edges. I have had real good success with a product Napa sells for sealing cracks in blocks it's called iron-tite. The stuff works good if you follow the directions. Stan
