Yeah, it's a 205, I vaguely recall the models of those NP's, they used to make them 100 miles from here, it's a big ole heavy duty unit, gear drive, this was an auto, I converted it to a 4 spd when the auto went bad, got all the parts for it from an older K-10 with less than 30,000 miles, flushed the trans and transfer case out, was clean oil that came out, put 85-140 cling in there, what a strong drive train, I have had some fun with this ole truck when it was on the road and off. Used to carefully knock over 3"-4" diameter trees using the plow frame. It was not too bad to convert over to stick, one tough drive drain, I did all the u-joints, front hubs, she's gettin rusty now though, from sittin I suppose. I'm trying to stay along the outside of the t-case, above the cross member, it's got flowmaster headers on it, nothing stock, which I am sure would have been easier to deal with as it's listed in the walker and other books showing exhaust systems for these. It's actually a simple bend, just something off a little. I like the PVC idea, and Walt's too, I had contemplated the wire thing, but figured the flex pipe would have done it for a template. Even with snow coming, I had to set it aside, and try again with a clear head, once I get frustrated hard to think right. Just on pipe with a collector on one end, should pass through above the cross member, with 2 slight bends, both like 20 degrees that offset the pipe, then it's straight to the back. I've run this sucker with open headers, sounds good, but the fumes get into the cab, hard to deal with that. I may have to get it fired up and bring it to them, the heck with it, only 1/4 mile down the road. I'll bet you had some fun with that one set up like you say, only thing I can recall when lifted was the u-joints wearing out, forget how that was dealt with, something to do with the angle of the shafts.

Tractor Generators - by Chris Pratt. As a companion to the articles on three-brush and two-brush generators, it seemed fitting that we should provide our readers with a description of how a generator works in lay terms. The difficulty with all those "theory of operation" texts is that they border on principles of electricity or physics and such. Since I know nothing of either, you will have to put up with looking at the common sense side of how generators work which means we "
