What you describe happens to me all the time with my 1955 Ford 600. Plain and simple, your battery is too far dead. Even with jumper cables or a battery charger connected mine won't turn over. Put it on a charger for a couple of hours and she works just fine. (Helps to have the heater plugged in during that time as well!) I don't like to leave my heater plugged in since I don't start my tractor very often in the winter. Which is another reason why the battery doesn't have a very strong charge in the winter....... If you are in a cold climate then you would benefit from a heater or two. I have a in-line heater for the radiator. You can also get an oil heater. Also pay attention to the voltage on your 9N. Are you running 6 volt or 12 volt? I run the original 6 volt. You shouldn't jump a 6 volt battery with a 12 volt tractor.
