I have used one quite a lot. Tough, rugged, bullet proof-naw its more than that. What you can cut with one is near any thing and they just keep on surviving horrendous abuse. The operator usually backs off before one breaks. The next weakest link is the tractor; beating on 8" trees is hard on drive lines. A Brown used to it's potential will quickly wear out a couple of tractors. BE SURE TO USE AN OPERATOR PROTECTER SHIELD. These are made of heavy mesh steel and fit across the rear of the tractor. I've had em throw 10" rocks at me HARD. With out that shield a feller could get very seriously killed.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
