Charles, Don't sweat the "Ohms" right now. Both red wires share a common connection inside the coil. One brings 12-Volts into the coil from the ignition switch. The other takes 12-Volts FROM that connection down to the module in the distributor, The white wires also connect to a common point. One goes to the module, along with the red wire. The other goes to the tach, if used, and, I believe, the 'puter. What you need to do is LEAVE THE CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO THE COIL AND MODULE. Probe (pierce the insulation) on the white wire. (You can seal the hole with a dab of silicone sealant later.) With the igntion switch "ON", the white wire MUST light a test light. As soon as you turn the key to "START", the test light probed into the white wire MUST flash as the module is firing the coil. Check this, and post back. Maybe start a new thread, as this one is a couple of pages back. Or email me. bigcoulee@hotmail.com

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
