typicaly the hour meter is meant to keep track of elapsed engine revolutions for oil and PM and when you go to sell it, an estimate on the wear the engine received.

Resetting it now would assist you in keeping track of hours elapsed since the hour meter was last repaired.

It would be fair to reset it when you did a complete engine o'haul.
