Update on Jim Jonen

Many of you guys may remember last year about this time I posted about my mom"s cousin who was gored by a bull and was inches form being killed.

That was 1 year ago yesterday, and the doctors said he would never farm again, and never drive a tractor. Wel, just today my brother and I went out to his place to buy a standing tree (red oak) to be turned into trim. He was running the loader, bigger JD model, and he even cut the tree down himself. The tree was in a ravine with a very steep hill to go down and it was slick as sh1t with the snow and ice.

Glad to say he doesn"t listen much to the doctors, and he still has about 50-60 head of beef. He"s gonna rent his land out yet this year, but once he hits the ripe old age of 65 in a year or 2 he"s gonna ease back into it because then uncles sam won"t be taking as much out or something like that.

Glad to say he"s a man with 9 lives and he"s only used about 3 so far.
