I am not as color or brand oriented as some. Because of the price of machinery, I send my business to those dealers that care and provide service. I also let the dealers with poor service know what I think of it and where I am taking my money. I also let the manufacturers know why they are not getting my money. If businesses get enough feedback from unsatisfied customers, many of them will make improvements. When we have legitimate complaints, we all need to speak out and write letters to the dealers and the companies. Our local AGCO dealer is Walter Implement. They usually keep an after hours phone number posted on their door and they expand their hours during harvest. I tried the after hours number on a weekend once for a part I desperately needed. The owner called me back within an hour. The used part was in his parts yard. He didn't even know me personally, yet he told me to just take it and settle up with him on Monday. Our local Case/IH/New Holland dealer could care less about service. I let him know where my money is going and why and I let others who are looking for a tractor know about it.
