Went to an auction today, it was a good one for buyers. Talked to one of the autioneers and he was saying the market is softening up. An Allis C only brought $900 and a Ford 8N with a new engine and new rear tires with loader could not even fetch the opening bid of $2000. I found out it sold later for the opener. A JD 540 I believe it was only brought $1100 with the buzz saw and belt attached. Like I say if you were well heeled, it was the sale to be at. I bought an old NH 263 for $90 dollars and a sickle bar mower for my garden tractor for $25. What do you all think, is this some of the first indications that our economy is starting to soften up.
